This coffee comes from a 470-hectare plantation owned by Anjip Mare, of the Waghi Plantation, as well as block holders and smaller farmers. A portion of the parchment was hulled in Jiwaka Province and transported, approximately 200 miles, to our central mill in Goroka, in the Eastern Highlands; a remaining portion was hulled there for shipment. To preserve quality, the coffee remained in the Highlands as long as possible, and then was transported by road, another 200 miles to the port city of Lae, just in time to meet the vessel.
